MODEL DESCRIPTION
Every Nordgaard village maintains a militia of warriors to defend it. In Dwarven villages these are the Fjell Warriors, and during times of war, they make up the bulk of the Nordgaard army.

Fjell Warriors are not to be underestimated, for despite their mediocre fighting skills they are well armored and their powerful muscles wield heavy axes.

These militias typically fight in a shield-wall formation, where all warriors lock their shields together to provide a consistent barrier. This is especially useful for such fighters since Dwarves lack the mobility to make frequent charges.

This tactic combined with their excellent armor, great toughness and high morale gives Fjell Warriors tremendous staying power. Charges that would sweep away the militias of other races are rudely blunted by a regiment of Fjell Warriors.

Fjell Warriors are a very effective core unit, especially when they include their full complement of warriors, and every warband can benefit from at least one unit. In large warbands, deploy them as an anvil to hold up the enemy before hitting with a hammer (warlords, creatures or elite units, etc.).

MODEL DESCRIPTION
The secretive and holy Order of the Gøderguard was founded by the demigod Haldan Bergthor's retinue of thanes, and contains several martial brotherhoods, the mightiest of which are the Einherjer. These Dwarves are dedicated to the Asrae gods, in particular the Vættir Pantheon.

With a Melee skill of 7 and power 7 attacks, these warriors have incredible offensive capability. However even this is overshadowed by their staying power due to their fantastic armor, high life-points and Resilient ability.

So renowned are the Einherjer and so devout are they, that horror-and fear causing models must themselves pass leadership tests to attack them.

Their one disadvantage is their maneuverability - with a maximum movement of 8 inches per turn, they are not strategically flexible to run around the table.

Einherjer are most powerful when led by the Runegate Keeper and backed up by a Valkyrie and a Brewer of Odrorir.

MODEL DESCRIPTION
The Traders Guild includes the Famed Fimbul Toughborns who are a fellowship of scouts that patrol the trade routes of Nordgaard.

They became so expert in scouting that High-Kings of Nordgaard began to use them as rangers for the Nordgaard army.

The Toughborns' primary weapon is a compact crossbow which boasts great power and a fast reloading speed due to its clever mechanics. They are armored in hardened leather which is sewn with metal plates in vulnerable areas, and equipped with bear-traps which they can lay across the battlefield.

Their tactics revolve around ambushes and missile fire since they are not well-trained melee warriors. When offered no other option, they will engage in hand-to-hand fighting using their large hunting knives.

Toughborns make an ideal support unit and are an effective deterrent against enemy missile-troops.

MODEL DESCRIPTION
The mainstay of Skannfyrd armies is the regular fighter known as the Kinsword. Every able-bodied free-man is considered a Kinsword from the moment of his achieving manhood until his death.

The Kinswords are not a militia of poorly equipped mediocre warriors as is the case with the militias of most other factions; rather they are a competent force of semi-disciplined troops. This is due to the frequency of battle on the borders of Skannfyrd lands and because Nordgaard has an abundance of high-quality, steel weapons and armor.

Kinswords are armed with a heavy sword and a round shield which they are trained to use both defensively and offensively.

When fighting alongside their Dwarven allies, Kinswords usually form up on the flanks, ready to charge the enemy once it has dashed itself on the steadfast Nordgaard shieldwall.

In general they constitute an offensive force possessing above-average morale.
